The Cradlepoint PHS300 is a pocket-sized portable hotspot (PHS) that creates a powerful WiFi network almost anywhere. It is a true plug ‘n’ play solution that allows you to connect with any other device that is Wi-Fi capable by simply plugging in your activated USB data modem. This networking device is a wireless 3G router and has an option to leave the network open or secure it. It is powered by WiPipe technology, which is “highly intuitive” creating the network easy to set up and there is no additional software required. It functions similar to your home router and has an AC power adapter for those lucky enough to find a spare outlet.

Cradlepoint Personal WiFi Hotspot

The PHS300 Personal WiFi Hotspot has support for 802.11 b/g and will offer up to 3 hours if used with a phone and 1.5 hours if used with a modem. The Cradlepoint PHS300 does have its limits, presently it will work with USB modems from Sierra Wireless, Novatel Wireless, and Franklin Wireless, which are available only from Verizon or Sprint. Your provider will have to allow you to tether the device if you are using a phone to create your hotspot. It would not work with an iPhone, as AT&T hates tethering as much as Apple hates Flash, but almost any other phone should be perfectly fine.

Compact and Portable:

The PHS300 comes with a Li Ion battery that provides hours of access when no power outlets are in sight. At just under 3” x 5”, it is a perfect solution for those on the go. Take the PHS300 everywhere you require internet access.

Secure and Reliable:

This high-performance router platform supports multiple and concurrent VPN pass-through sessions, plus encryption modes including WEP, WPA and WPA2.It is powered by WiPipe™ technology.
