The film’s writer, director, and producer, Christopher Nolan revealed Inception video game ideas at a press conference celebrating the movie’s theatrical debut in Italy. Christopher Nolan hopes to make an Inception videogame with an original story, however the same principles of the movie.

The director conversed about the future of the property during a premier for the Italian debut of Christopher Nolan’s seriously highly praised Inception. Inception could be making its way to a gaming platform near you as Christopher is exploring the possibility of developing a video game founded on his latest heist thriller, Inception.

During a press conference in Rome, Nolan said, “(What) we are looking at doing is developing a videogame based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can’t fit into a feature film. That’s something we’ve been talking about and are looking at doing long term, in a couple of years.”

Usually, videogames on basis of the movies are terrible, horrible, no-good-very-bad crap-tastic failures. Nolan has not discussed the possibility of any potential sequels to the film. An Inception game would be set in the same world and feature the same technology and themes; however it would not simply be a video game version of the movie.

Nolan has not mentioned specifics about the possible game, for example a developer or publisher, he has his eye on or what form an Inception game might take. However, he conversed about his fears that the film would be misinterpreted as “puzzle-like.” If he has been going for mass market appeal, then he had not to worry about in a video game.

For the game adaptation, Nolan follow-up to his hit Batman sequel, The Dark Knight which went down with Pandemic Studios when the developer was shuttered by owner EA. Nolan’s vision of an Inception game is an intriguing prospect nonetheless.

Presently, inception has grossed $753 million worldwide in theaters as its debut on July 8. A game wouldn’t be pressured into launching alongside a movie. However, rumors are buzzing on web that the DVD and blu-ray are to be released on December 6.
