On July 11, 2010, Spain won the 2010 World Cup final match at Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg. After their final match victory, spain’s goalkeeper Iker Casillas kisses the World Cup trophy as team mate Carles Puyol (R) celebrates.
The English media tried to push stories of goalkeeper and Captain Iker Casillas’ television reporter girlfriend Sara Carbonero being blamed for the defeat simply for being present, after Spain’s began its World Cup run with a 1-0 loss to Switzerland. Now, as Spain lifts the World Cup trophy for the first time, it turned out she really wasn’t and she certainly isn’t being blamed for anything.
She tried to keep things professional in Carbonero’s post-match interview with her emotional Golden Gloves-winning boyfriend, but Iker just couldn’t resist diving and shown his thanks to Sara by a big sweet kiss, after thanking his parents, brothers and friends.
Everybody cheered as Casillas then walked away for more celebrations and Sara’s cheeks turned redder than the Spanish flag that already marked on her face. After this, no word founded on if the camera crew broke into a rendition of the k-i-s-s-i-n-g song immediately.
