Gilbert Gottfried is coming to Rumor’s Comedy Club for two evenings of his trademark caustic humor on Friday, Oct. 1 and Saturday, Oct. 2. Gilbert Gottfried is an American stand-up comedian and actor. And his trademark is a distinctively loud, rasping, grating voice. Gilbert Gottfried was born on February 28, 1955.
Gilbert Gottfried has played numerous roles in film and television, perhaps most notably voicing the parrot Iago in Disney’s Aladdin (1992), as well as co-starring in the Problem Child movies. He is also known for voicing Digit in the animated children’s series Cyberchase and the alligator Marley in Winnie the Pooh.

When he was just 15 years old, he had begun doing the stand up comedy as an amateur comedian in New York. In 1980, the popular TV channel NBC for its late night show, ‘Saturday Night Live’, roped in Gilbert as a cast member since the management wanted new staff and comedians on the show. His talent was noticed by NBC and they offered him to join them, which he happily accepted. From there on, his journey to real stardom started jumping.
