A documentary crew is being produced by ABC Studios and follows a disparate group of high school classmates from Greenbelt High School’s class of 2000 in Austin, TX as they get ready for graduation, and is returning to update these former classmates ten years later in 2010. Each of these students couldn’t wait for completion of graduation and hit the road into the real world. However, the world they were entering got very real, very fast. When these classmates come back home to revisit their old hopes for their future, they will find out that even if you don’t get exactly what you thought you wanted out of life, it’s not too behind schedule to acquire what you require.

My Generation is about a bad documentary which shows how the real life of people has complicated the neat package. In My Generation series, several characters obtain reductive reality-TV handles and the decade gets a glib newsmagazine summary like, “It was a time of prosperity…” “The country was split in two, red states and blue states”.  The show can make a good show out of the bad show if said in other words.

The series is based on a Swedish format entitled “On God’s Highway” and is filmed like a documentary and features some predictable humor, which is typical for an ‘office humor’ show like this. Some people have claimed that the show is in poor taste, while others think it is hilarious.  It is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
