NBE stands for National Board of Examinations. NBE has announced the results for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) 2010 online at official website natboard.edu.in. Candidate can get their result by selecting FMGE from the drop down menu and enter their roll number.
The results are for the written examination that held for the posts of the Foreign Medical Graduates. The written examination was held on 26th September, 2010. The National Board of Examinations awarded the postgraduate degree which is called the Diplomate of National Board (DNB). The list of recognized qualifications awarded by the Board in various specialties and super-specialties are approved by the Government of India and are included in the First Schedule of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
FMGE is one type of screening test which is conducted for those Indian citizens possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India. FMGE is conducted with the purpose of getting registered for Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council for practicing in India or pursuing further medical education in India. The first FMGE screening test started in 2002 and is conducted by National Board of Examinations.
There are 450 accredited institutions in the MCI provide training in various Broad and Super specialties for the award of a PhD qualification in Broad and super specialties. At present, postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations is conducted by the Board in 54 disciplines approved by the Board for the award of Diplomate of National Board.
