There are total 850 posts for Probationary Officers. The registration for this post will be opened from 12th October 2010. Computer skill is necessary for this post. The age of candidate must be 21- 30 years at the time of registration. He / she must be completed his/ her graduation in any discipline with 55% aggregate marks / equivalent CGPA (50% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates). The application fee of Probationary Officers for General and OBC candidates is Rs.400/- and for SC and ST is Rs. 50/-.

How to apply for Probationary Officers?
For application purpose, Candidate should have a valid e-mail id. In case, candidate does not have a valid email id, he/she should create a new valid email id before applying online. Now, visit the official website of the Indian Bank (www.indianbank.in) and take out Pre-printed Challan. The candidate should make the payment of fees in any of the Indian Bank branches on or before 11th November 2010. The application fee should be paid in cash in any of the Indian Bank branch before submitting the online application.
When the payment of fees is made, candidate will receive a Unique Transaction Code No. Now, again visit the official website (www.indianbank.in) under the caption “Notifications” and fill up the application form. Application should be saved and after verification, click on ‘submit’ button, which is available at the bottom of the online application and your online application will be registered.
