“Youth FM Radio Station” of Pakistan has been decided to launch by MOYA (Ministry of Youth Affairs). It is fully developed youth FM station which will be broadcasted for the youth related programs containing information and entertainment. Shahid Hussain Bhutto is a Federal Minister for Youth Affairs, talking to APP, who said, “Currently the ministry is broadcasting a youth program from Radio Pakistan “Hum Nawjawan” which is highly getting the feed back from the youth”. He also said, “the ministry now will launch a separate FM Youth radio station which will be broadcasted specially program for youth.”
He also added, “The aim of the radio station is to promote awareness among the youth of the country.”
He said, “Government priority is to create more opportunities for the youth of the country and this youth FM station will focus on the youth related problems and ministry high ups will join programs to respond the questions of the youth regarding different youth empowerment projects.”
The minister said, “The role of FM radio has become very important and more effective as it acted as a community-based radio because of its limited area of coverage and local content.”
He said, “Youth FM radio could be used to educate and inform the grass roots, besides allowing the youth talent to come forward and express themselves.”
“Radio is a powerful medium and through quality programs it can make a telling contribution towards educating as well as entertaining the general public” he said.
