After struggling with Britishers for many years, finally India became completely independent on 15th August, 1947 from the British Rule. Due to this reason, India celebrates Independence Day on 15th of August every year. On Sunday, Indian will celebrate their 63rd Independence Day of India. People around India have already started the preparation for this National festival of India.
15th August, Independence Day is important day for every Indian’s life. It symbolizes the victory of Indian patriotism which the nation got after uncertain yet brutal struggle from the repression of the British colonialism. On this day, the local administration conducts flag-hoisting ceremonies all over the country. The main event of Independence Day arranges in Red Fort, which is stated in the capital of India, Delhi, where the National Flag is hoisted by the Prime Minister. The National Flag of India consists of three colors deep saffron (Kesari) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportions. India’s National Flag is also known as TIRANGA.
After flag hoisting, the Prime Minister of India delivers a nationally televised speech from its ramparts and highlights the achievements of his government during the past year. He also raises important issues and gives a call for further development. An essential part of the Independence Day celebrations include a colorful pageant which shows India’s cultural diversity, symbolic depictions of the country’s advances in science and technology, and a joint display of India’s military capabilities by the armed forces. In the evening on this day, the sky is dotted with hundreds of colorful kites which symbolize the freedom and the soaring dreams of independent India which wants to attain great heights and give the message that sky is the limit.

Feedom was not a peice of cake. It was wrested for us by the martyers of the motherland. The freedom of speech,expression,education,living free.seculalrity,etc is given by our constitution. We should be thankful for that and respect it.It should be our ardent duty to gaurd this freedom. If not used properly, it will atropy. Be a true Indian – ek sachha hindustani is what the mother demands from us. The country still needs us to fight another freedom strugle to free her from the evils threatning her. Save her from not only external threats but also the internal threats poised before us in the form of terrorism,naxalism, regionalism, culturalism, partism. curruption.fanaticism. ecodegradation and so on.
