Everything is wonderful in the new swift 2011 but what all features you are seeing here are only for the european model. Here in India Suzuki meets with Maruti and finally all the above mentioned features will be available only in ZXi model i.e. the petrol variant but it won’t be present in any of the diesel variants and added to that the price is gonna be increased by another 90k to 1L. So, this is gonna fail for sure. SUZUKI ROCKS BUT MARUTI SUZUKI SUCKSSSSS.

    it is amazing car

can i buy it or ther is some wating in this car

  10. kumar says:

I absolutely agree with you. Maruti Suzuki will not launch all the features in India in the Deisel version. As per the inside source from maruti, here are the reasons.

    1) Maruti Suzuki understands that their petrol engines powering the swift and ritz are a big failure in terms of mileage and also power.

    2) There is a huge demand for Diesel Engines (Remember its actually Fiat Engine) which Maruti is not able to meet. Few customers would like to have all the features so they would go for petrol. For any car to sell “Engine performance” should be the first USP, but unfortunately Maruti Suzuki is using the high end features as their USP to sell petrol cars as otherwise there is no way they can sell the swift with the K12 series engine, which is a failure. The great example would be that there is no advertisement for Diesel engines but for K12 engines there is a lot of advertisement (Because they are not able to sell petrol engines).

    3) They are also taking Indian customers for granted. Maruti Suzuki feels that India customer are “Cheap” and “Stingy” when it comes to spending money. So Maruti thinks that by providing all the features in Deisel engine the price would go up by that much and hence they can’t position well in the market as they think that Indian customers cannot afford it. Suzuki also feels that the Engilish and European customers can afford and hence you would not see a ZDI in suzuki swift in India.

Even in petrol version you would not see all the features of the European model in India.

For Suzuki, India is a dumping ground for old technology and products. Though india is a raising economy, they feel they take Indian customer for granted and make money in the process.

I guess we all need to start a forum to teach Maruti Suzuki a lesson for taking Indian customer for granted.
