Hyderabad Auto Show has been started

The Hyderabad International Auto Show 2010 has been started from 22nd July to 25th July 2010. Several exotic cars and bikes from across the world are exhibited in this four day Auto show. On Friday 16th July, 2010, Chief Minister K Rosaiah formally inaugurated the auto show. In association with HICC, Vista Entertainments organizes the second edition of the auto exhibition.

The vehicles on display include Chevrolet Captiva, Spark and other car lines. Besides 100 models of cars and bikes, the event will also showcase a range of new launches, some vintage cars and vintage bikes along with concepts cars, high performance vehicles, SUVs and super bikes. The Auto Show will bring together car and accessory manufacturers, consumer services as well as various finance options, all under one roof. The exhibitors include Rolls Royce, Jaguar/Land Rover, Nissan, Volvo, Skoda, BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Mahindra & Mahindra, Fiat, Honda, General Motors, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, Ford, TVS, Hero Honda, Suzuki, Royal Enfield, Yamaha, Honda Bikes and Bajaj.

Few other new products were on the display at the show, also for the first time here, including Fiat Grande Punto 90 hp, Skoda’s latest SUV Yeti, Yamaha’s latest super bike V-Max and BMW’s 2010 model 5 series luxury sedan. The Chief Minister went round the enclosures of several automakers, interacted with the representatives of respective companies and was made to get into the Rolls Royce Ghost.

With its best-in-segment design, performance and safety, the Beat is a car that is ideal for those with a modern lifestyle. With the styling of a sporty hatchback, it showcases the new direction of Chevrolet design and a new trend in the design of mini-cars. The Beat comes with a new generation Smart-TEC II 1.2L engine delivering a class leading 80.5ps and an exceptionally high fuel efficiency of 18.6kmpl per ARAI tests. The Beat also offers some segment first luxury features like Automatic Climate Control and Tilt Steering. An integrated rear spoiler is also standard which adds style and also improves the aerodynamics of the car enabling better fuel efficiency.

Some car companies were interested in setting up their manufacturing units in the State, but the proposals were still in the preliminary stages. He assured all possible cooperation from the government to help the auto sector flourish in the State. Jayasudha, president of Federation of All India Dealers’ Association (FADA) S.P. Shah, vice-president Nikunj Sanghi, president of AP Motor Vehicle Dealers’ Association P.T. Chowdhary and others participated.

Speaking about the range of vehicles at display, Vice-President, General Motors India, P. Balendran said, “The Auto Show in Hyderabad provides us with an ideal platform to exhibit GM India’s technological advancement and product offerings. This forum gives us an opportunity to engage with the valued consumers in this region and gain market insights into consumer trends and response, enabling us to serve them better. This region has tremendous market potential and is a key region for us.” The Auto Expo will aim mainly to focus at the needs of the consumers.   2. it was rocked..! i went to HITEX where auto show was held and the vehicles are awesome. I saw Jaguar, Rolls Royce and other luxury cars in this segment. The floor was auto heaven.
