BP has agreed to pay $7 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the defective gasoline class action lawsuit (Price v. BP Products North America Inc.). The lawsuit claims that BP distributed the tainted gasoline to 575+ retail outlets from August 13, 2012 through September 7, 2012 in four states: Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio. The class action lawsuit against BP fuel was filed by Plaintiffs. The company distributed the gasoline with gum concentrations above specifications at Retail Outlets (from August 13 to September 7, 2012) and thousands of consumers who filled up their vehicle with this tainted gasoline experienced hard starting, stalling, rough idling and mechanical-component damage. The cost of repairing a fuel tank and cleaning the system is between $300 and $1,200. BP disputed and denied any wrongdoing.

Before claiming compensation from the BP fuel class action lawsuit settlement, you must verify that in which Subclass you fit in: Subclass A and Subclass B. The settlement is approved yet. The Final Fairness Hearing will take place on November 26, 2013 at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.
