They are being hunted through the streets of Boston by a tenacious FBI agent Adam Frawley (Jon Hamm) and a woman who might destroy them all.

Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) leads the group of bank robbers and takes on the task of watching after Claire (Rebecca Hall), the manager of a bank they recently robbed, after the crew’s resident loose cannon James (Jeremy Renner) took her as a hostage then released her. He starts getting really close to her and they begin a relationship, even with the FBI getting closer and closer to bringing Doug and his team to justice, as Doug keeps tabs on Claire to see if she’s been talking to the FBI or had any specific information on him or his crew.

Doug and his fellow thieves one of whom is played by Jeremy Renner (The Avenger‘s Hawkeye) discover soon thereafter that Claire lives dangerously close to their home turf. Concerned that Claire may be “not scared enough” to keep quiet about the group, Doug agrees to track her down himself.

The situation becomes all the more complicated when Doug finds himself falling in love with Claire and wanting to abandon his life of crime. With an F.B.I. agent hot on his trail and a local crime boss (Pete Postlethwaite) unwilling to let Doug walk away from his criminal career, that act is easier said than done.

The movie is good, a chase scene with the robbers in a minivan are also good. Jon Hamm, who plays Agent Adam Frawley, the frustrated FBI agent has desperated to catch MacRay and his crew. His acting is fantastic, funny, captivating, and ruthless, not unlike his character Don Draper on Mad Men. He is fun to watch in The Town. He has delivers perfectly, some great lines

Jon Hamm, James Coughlin, and Blake Lively also playing Doug’s ex. For the film, they gave the the best performances. Ben Affleck is also good but his characters emotional baggage about his mother abandoning him seems forced.

In the end of the film, there are a few important plot points that are carelessly dropped. Affleck supposed needed some more time to put in everything he wanted. The Town is a good film but not like the 1995 heist movie Al Pacino and Heat with Robert De Niro, which is almost an hour longer, that The Town.
