According to the Hollywood Reporter, the “Jersey Shore” cast is close to a deal with producers that could double or possibly triple their pay for upcoming seasons and they may be back to work shooting in Seaside Heights shortly.

The “Jersey” cast shot the first season for $5,000 per episode, and then haggled a salary bump to $10,000 for the second season of the show.

Cast members reportedly went all “Norma Rae” on producers this week because they weren’t happy with their $10,000-an-episode paycheck. They asked for $30,000 an episode, and MTV countered with a number that’s close, and at least a couple of the cast members are expected to reup pronto.

But those numbers may just apply to the show’s breakout stars, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, as well as Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio and Jenni “JWoww” Farley. The remaining cast members would get a less substantial boost.
