Mass Unemployment Login Problem

Recently, Mass Unemployment website users are facing login problem in to their accounts through Sunday, November 14, 2010, due to technical difficulties.

Mass Unemployment apologized for their inconvenient of WebCert Services. Because of large traffic on Sunday, the first day to certify for weekly benefits, UI candidates will face difficulty or delay with WebCert service.

For signing weekly benefits, you can use WebCert or call TeleCert at 617-626-6338. Both are available Sunday through Friday from 7AM to 7PM, Sunday hours may extend to 10PM. For early in the day, certifying weekly provides no advantage. At the same time, all payments are sent on the upcoming business day.

With UI Online, a number of online services are available for Workers application. How to register for online services?

Go to the registration page, you will need to follow some steps on this page:

  • Enter your social security number
  • Confirm your social security number
  • Enter the four digits of your year of birth (Example: 1965)
  • Enter your mother’s maiden name (Her last name before she was married)
  • Click on “Submit” button

Then, you will be directed on the next page, where you have to enter your personal details to create your password and username.

  • Enter your first and last name
  • Enter your E-mail address
  • Create your username
  • Create and confirm your password
  • Choose a “secret question” from a list and answer that question, for security and identity purpose, if you forget your password.

After your registration is finished, you can claim for weekly unemployment benefits by WebCert. All claimants can certify for weekly benefits online or via phone. You can claim weekly benefits online without any delay at www.mass.gov/dua/webcert.

For certifying Weekly Benefits online:

First sign up for WebCert, if you are first time user and complete the online registration. Additionally, WebCert lets you verify weekly payment information using the Claimant Account Inquiry option. If you are already registered for online services and forgotten your username and password, then you can retrieve your username by calling at 617-626-5700, in order to reset your password, click on “Forgot Your Password” link on WebCert Login Page.

For certifying Weekly Benefits by phone:

Using the telephone interactive voice response system, you can claim weekly benefits via phone. If the web option is inaccessible, then you can call TeleCert after 2:00 pm and later in the week. You may have some delay, if you certify for Weekly Benefits by phone.
