America’s largest banking holding company, Bank of America provides online banking service to their customer for more convenience at its official site, bankofamerica.com. But on Friday, 27th August, 2010, Bank of America Corp announced that the online banking service was down for 4 hours, but now its service has been resorted.
Yesterday, some customer of Bank of America suffered of issues with their Bank of America sign in for online. Tara Burke, A representative for the nation’s largest bank, would not specify a reason for Friday’s outage and the only thing she said was that it was a “temporary system” issue. She could not confirm or offer any information whether the site has experienced a similar across-the-board outage before.
Bank of America said, the outage started from 1:25 p.m. EDT and service was restored around 5:15 p.m. The Help team of Bank of America has also posted updates from the time the first reports of sign in trouble surfaced. Some areas were hit for longer times than others.

The bank announced and want to inform the customers that they can also get account information from ATMs or banking centers. According to Burke, “none of Bank of America’s 18,000 ATMs were affected by the outage.”
