The September 11 (9/11) is a day of bereavement and commemoration as a series of coordinated Terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda upon the United States happened on that day. The whole world remembers this horrific terror that engineered on the Twin Towers, the World Trade Center. To remember the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, memorials are held as moment of silence by remembering the 9/11 timeline of events. Some people also search for 9/11 quotes for the purpose of remembering. A unity of purpose has been come out from this tragedy. However, the question still remains that is there a lesson to be learned!
On the morning of 11th September 2001, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners to attack the World Trade Center twin towers. From this four hijacked airliners, two airliners were deliberately crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City that killed everyone on board and many others working in the buildings. Within two hours of attack, both buildings buckled and destruction also occurred to the nearest buildings. Within 30 minutes of two planes hitting the World Trade Center, a third airliner Flight 77 crashed by the hijackers into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia just outside Washington, D.C. Then, the fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Pennsylvania. No one from any of the flights was survived.
“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children.”
President George W. Bush
America is not like a blanket — one piece of unbroken cloth, the same color, the same texture, the same size. America is more like a quilt — many patches, many pieces, many colors, many sizes, all woven and held together by a common thread.
Henry M. Jackson
If the culprits are Muslim, they have twisted the teachings of Islam.
Whoever performed, or is behind, the terrorist attacks in the United States of America does not represent Islam.
God is not behind assassins.
“Terrorism against our nation will not stand.” George W. Bush
Freedom itself was attacked this morning by a faceless coward.
Freedom will be defended!
President George W. Bush
I don’t think contributors to the various September 11th funds thought that their donations would be caught up in so much red tape and become a source of frustration to families.
The cause of the attack was not American foreign policy but an amoral disregard for human life. It is grotesque to suggest that a four-year-old girl, making her first and only flight in an aeroplane, should somehow bear responsibility for the actions of a government for whom she was never allowed the chance to grow up and vote either for or against.
Menzies Campbell, British Liberal Democrat foreign affairs spokesman
As for those that carried out these attacks there are no adequate words of condemnation. Their barbarism will stand as their shame for all eternity.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair
