Yamaha, a famous two-wheeler manufacturer going to introduce Scooters in Indian Market. In India, Yamaha plan to launch Yamaha -50 cc Neo, Yamaha 115cc Fino and the Yamaha 135cc Spark. With this, Yamaha planning to snatch the Indian scooter market which is getting high day by day. There is very tough competition for Yamaha as already the scooter market has been conquered by Activa, TVS Scooty pep and the Hero Honda Pleasure. Spark is a liquid-cooled, 135cc four-stroke scooter available in both geared and gearless options. The scooter could be launched during the time of Diwali. It comes with three or four extra features and will be about Rs 2,000 cheaper than the Activa.

Yamaha scooters will be costlier than those of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), which has a 55% market share in the gearless scooter market in the country. A Honda Activa costs around Rs 47,000 on road in Mumbai, according to sources.
Dealership sources said they will be made available soon as the scooters are not yet available for testing. Dubey did not disclose any more details on this.
